Lisa A. McNiff Komorous

Lisa has practiced family law in Calhoun County and surrounding communities since 1995, bringing three decades of focused experience to complex divorce and domestic matters. She earned her undergraduate degree from Yale University, then lived in Germany before returning to Michigan to attend Wayne State University law school. After law school, Lisa began her career at Schroeder DeGraw, PLLC, where she developed a lifelong dedication to family law. Lisa is known for her work in complex divorces involving farms and substantial estates, as well as cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect. Early in her career, she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), giving her lasting insight into the impact family court decisions have on children and families. Her commitment to service extends beyond her practice. Lisa has held leadership roles with the Calhoun County Bar Association, served on the Calhoun County Abuse and Neglect Council, and previously sat on the Board of S.A.F.E. Place. She also serves on the City of Marshall Planning Commission, including past terms as chair and vice chair. Lisa's approach blends strategic advocacy with genuine compassion. She helps clients move through difficult transitions with clarity, confidence, and respect. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys traveling with her husband and friends and attending jam band, blues and jazz concerts.

Amanda Hershock

Business Manager/Paralegal

Amanda Hershock serves as the Business Manager and Paralegal, where she supports the firm’s attorneys and clients with professionalism, organization, and care. A resident of the community for over 15 years, Amanda is deeply committed to serving the families and individuals who call it home. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate’s degree in Human Services. Amanda previously served as a Director of a nonprofit organization for five years, where she gained extensive experience handling delicate and confidential family matters with discretion and compassion. In addition, Amanda brings more than 10 years of experience as a small business owner, with a strong background in customer service and business management. Her steady guidance, attention to detail, and approachable demeanor help ensure clients feel supported throughout every step of the legal process.
